Royal Albert Old Country Roses Christmas Sleigh Ornament

The Royal Albert Old Country Roses sleigh ornament turns one of the world's best-loved china patterns into a little Christmas sleigh. Red, pink and yellow roses spread across both sides of the white body, gold scrolls curl along the runners and edges, and a raspberry ribbon lets it hang from a branch. It comes in its pink Royal Albert window box.

Old Country Roses in Sleigh Form

Royal Albert introduced Old Country Roses in 1962, and the pattern has decorated tea sets, plates and giftware in homes around the world ever since. This sleigh was released in 2011 as part of the Royal Albert OCR Christmas Gifts range. On this sleigh the same rose sprays sit between gold scroll work, so it looks at home beside an Old Country Roses tea set at Christmas as much as on the tree.

Why Choose the Royal Albert Old Country Roses Sleigh Ornament

A sleigh is one of the classic symbols of Christmas, and the open shape gives this piece more depth than a flat hanging decoration. Hang it from the tree, tie it to a wreath, or stand it on a mantel. Boxed, it is also an easy gift for anyone who collects the pattern.

For a matching serving piece, the Old Country Roses Christmas tree serving plate carries the same roses to the festive table.

Royal Albert's newer Christmas range adds green and gold polka-dot tree, bauble and bird hanging ornaments.
