This striking antique 1840 sterling silver basket is a genuine piece of English Victorian silverware, hallmarked in Birmingham. The oval body is finished in hand-worked  repousséraised floral and scrollwork relief pressed from the reverse surrounded by a shaped, ornamented border and completed with a swing handle for easy carrying and display.
